From al-Bara bin ‘Aazib from the Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam-:
‘Riba (interest) has seventy-two levels; the lowest form is like a man having intercourse with his mother. The severest form of Riba is when a man arrogantly abuses his brother’s honor.’
