The Shaykh is a student of Ash-Shaykh Muqbil al-Wadi'ee and is a teacher at Dar-ul-Hadeeth, Shihr, Yemen. This event will be broadcast LIVE in Masjid Ibn 'Abbaas, Tobago, two masaajid in Trinidad, Masjid ul Khaleefah and Masjid us Sunnah, and six masaajid in the U.S. Masjid Al-Bukhaari, Florida, Masjid Ibn 'Abbas, Georgia, Masjid Uthaymeen, New Jersey, Masjid Nur Allaah, New York, Masjid as-Sahabah, Ohio and Masjid Tawheed, Michigan.

This lecture event will be translated LIVE into English by Hisham Abouzeid, Inshaa Allaah.

Our Noble Prophet Muhammad (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said,

"The example of a good companion and a bad companion is like that of a seller of musk and the one who blows the blacksmith's bellows. As for the seller of musk, then either he will grant you some, or you buy some from him, or at the very least you enjoy a pleasant smell from him. As for the one who blows the blacksmith's bellows, then either he will burn your clothes, or you will get an offensive smell from him." [Related by al-Bukhaaree (4/323) and Muslim (no.2628), from Abu Moosaa al-Ash'aree radiallaahu 'anhu.]

He (sallaAlaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) also stated,

"A person is upon the religion of his friend, so let one of you look to whom he keeps as a friend."  [Hasan: Related by Abu Dawood (no.4812) and others, from Abu Hurayrah radiyAllaahu 'anhu. Imaam an-Nawawee authentcated it in Riyaadhus-Saaliheen (no.174).]

Abu Sulayman said:

“The Prophet’s (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) statement that one follows the religion of his friend, means, befriend only he whom you are pleased with his religious conduct and honesty, for if you take such a person to be your friend, he will direct you to his religious nature and honesty. Furthermore, do not compromise in religion or risk befriending those who are unacceptable religiously or in their mannerism.” [Al-’Uzlah, p510]
Shaykh Hasan ‘Alaywah (hafidhahullaah) will offer some advice on this ever pertinent issue and enlighten us on the characteristics of the good companion as well as that of the vile companion so by the Permission of Allaah we may practice caution regarding those we take as close companions because they undoubtedly have a profound effect on us
We ask Allaah to grant us good companions who will aid us in righteousness and that He protects us from vile companions who will bring us nothing but loss.

Aiding The Religion of Allah

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Ramzaan al Haajiree

Allah has mentioned, "If you aid Allah, He will aid you and he will plant your feet firm.”

Allah, in this verse, has made it clear that He aids the one that aids his religion - so what is the meaning of this? So how does the servant gain the aid of Allah ? How does he seek the aid of Allah? How is the aid of Allah obtained?

It is obtained by six matters:

1. He aids Allah by establishing Tawheed
2. He aids Allah by warning against and being cautious of shirk
3. He aids Allah by being established on the Sunnah
4. He aids Allah by warning against Bid’ah
5. He aids Allah by establishing acts of worship and acts of obedience
6. He aids Allah by staying away and distancing himself from the major sins and acts of disobedience

So if he fulfills these matters he will receive the aid of Allah.

He aids the muwahhiddeen - the one who are upon tawheed. He aids those who make ittibaa - who follow the sunnah. Those who remain upright upon the deen of Allah.

"If you aid Allah, He will aid you and plant your feet firm"

One’s feet are not planted firmly with bid’ah, sins, and transgression. So you, the one who wants the aid of Allah, it is imperative that you fulfill these matters. And this path does not have any crookedness in it.

Allah has said, "This is my straight path so follow it, do not follow the divergent path so that you may receive piety."

And forever remain firm so that you be granted success - to be upright on the religion

Allah mentioned, so stay upright as you have been commanded to be upright.
Whoever claims to be upon istiqaamah without responding to Allah and the affair of Allah that is not istiqaamah, that is not uprightness rather that is deviancy because the one who opposes the deen of Allah is under the threat of Allah in actuality.

Allah said, Let those be warned those who oppose His command that a fitna will overcome [them].

Those who innovate in the religion, their actions will be returned back to them - or they will not be rewarded for them.

The Prohet (saaws) said Whoever innovates in our religion, it is not accepted of them and it will be rejected.

That is the deen of Allah. Having ikhlas (sincerity) and worship. And they were not commanded except to worship Allah and that they establish the prayer and pay zakah and this is the upright deen.

One does not obtain aid with anything greater than fulfilling the deen. One of the greatest reasons to be overcome is to commit shirk. And that is the promise of Allah in the earth. The promise of Allah will take place!

Allah has promised those who have iman that He will establish them in the earth as He established those before them and that He will establish for them their deen and that He will change their condition of fear to a condition of safety so as long as they worship Him and not commit shirk.

Oh you Muslim! The athari, the salafi! Cling to the straight path! And be upright just as you have been commanded. Cling to the Sunnah and to the obedience and stay away from the bidah and the shirk - that will deplete a person from receiving the aid of Allah.

Beware of jealousy and rancor and envy and the yearnings of the soul, and loving to be put forward and being turned to.

Beware of the desires and the doubts, beware of the disputes and differing as they are the greatest of that which splits the ranks.

And do not dispute thus become weak and your strength leave you as Allah said.

Beware of those who come among you and spread ‘he say, she say’.

To be established in the deen of Allah is the great intent of Islam that one strives for.

True eminence, true security, and true tranquility will not be gained except by fulfilling the aqeedah and believing in it. True iman. Just as Allah has said that those who believe and do not cover their belief with oppression, these are the ones who will have security and they will be rightly guided. Those who single Allah out for worship and do not make shirk. They will have complete security in this world and in the hereafter. And [they will have] guidance. Whosoever Allah guided none can misguide him and whoever Allah allows astray none can guide him.

The majority of those who have not been guided are those who had fallen in shirk and that which comes after it from the various forms of misguidance.

They don’t have the guarantee and the promise of Allah because they had fallen in shirk but the one who singles Allah out has the promise of Allah

So beware of changing your colors in the religion. A great evil is that you deem good of what you used to speak of as evil and speak evil of what you used to deem as good.

It has been established in the deen - the dua - Allahumma ya muqaallibal quloobi thabbit qalbi al deenik (Oh Allah, Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm on your deen)

Oh Allah establish our hearts firm upon that which brings your good pleasure.

With this advice I call myself and yourselves to remain firm on that and be upright upon this and inshallah on that note, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah.

We thank Allah and we thank you for hearing the lecture. We thank you, and inshallah, we will meet you.

Live Lecture! Shaykh AbdruRaqeeb Al Ulabi: The Grave - It's Torment And Bliss

Bismillaah wa -Alhamdulillaah wa Salaatu wa Salaam 'alaa Rasulillaah 'amma ba'd

The Noble Shaykh ‘Abdur Raqeeb al-Ulabi  (May Allaah Preserve Him) will deliver a LIVE tele-lecture with Muwahhideen Publications on Sunday 3rd March 2013 regarding the punishment and bliss of the grave. Shaykh ‘Abdur Raqeebis a student of Ash-Shaykh Al-Allaamah Al-Muhaddith, The Imaam of Yemen, Shaykh Abu ‘Abdur Rahmaan Muqbil Ibn Hadee al-Waadi’ee (rahimahullah) and is a teacher in Markaz Dar-ul-Hadeeth in Ma’bar, Yemen.

This lecture event will be translated LIVE into English by Hisham Abouzeid,  inshaaAllaah.

It is the firm belief of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa’ah, which has been corroborated by the texts and the ijmaa’ of Ahlul ‘Ilm, that the punishment or bliss in the grave is a sure reality.

Haanee, the freed slave of ‘Uthmaan (radhiyAllaahu ‘anhu) related,
Whenever ‘Uthmaan (radhiyAllaahu ‘anhu) stood at a grave he would weep until his beard became soaked in tears. It was said to him: Paradise and Hell are mentioned to you, and you do not weep, but you weep over this.  So he said: Indeed the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Indeed the grave is the first stopping place for the Hereafter.  So if he is saved therein, then what comes after that is easier than that.  If he is not saved therefrom, then that which comes after is harder.” [Hasan: Related by at-Tirmidhee (no. 2424), and Ibn Maajah (no. 4267), and it has been authenticated by Shaykh al-Albaanee in Takhreejul-Mishkaat (no. 132)]

An-Naasiree (d.652H) - rahimahullaah - said in an-Noorul-Laami’ (no. 110):
‘‘We have eemaan in the Punishment of the Grave and its Bliss…this is the madhhab of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah.  So it is obligatory to have ‘Aqeedah in this.’’
Further evidence for this is found in the well-known hadeeth of Al-Bara’ Ibn ‘Aazib (radhiyAllaahu ‘anhu) where it is stated that it will be said regarding the believing slaves, “…prepare for them a bed in Jannah; clothe them from Jannahand open for them a gate to Jannah. Then there comes to them some of its fragrance and the grave is made wide, as far as they can see.” Conversely, it will be said regarding the disbelievers from mankind, “...prepare for them a bed in Hellfire and open for them a gate to Hellfire. There comes to them some of its heat and hot winds, and the grave is constricted until their ribs are squeezed. [Abu Dawud, Bool on Al-Sunnah,no.4753; and Ahmad, Musnad, vol.4, p.296]

Our Shaykh ‘Abdur Raqeeb al-Ulabi (hafidhahullaah) will admonish us concerning this unequivocal issue based on evidences from the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) upon the understanding of our Pious Predecessors.

We ask Allaah to grant us bliss in our graves and we seek refuge in Him from its punishment.

Learn Arabic FREE Online

Assalam alaikum wa rahmatullah,

Want to know the Message of Your Creator? Learn Arabic!
Want to understand what you are saying when you pray? Learn Arabic!
Want to understand what the Prophet (saaws) said? Learn Arabic!

Shaykh Albaani (ra) said,

"Learning the Arabic language is an obligatory issue due to what is established with the scholars that: those things which an obligatory action cannot be established without are obligatory themselves.  And it is not possible for a student of knowledge to understand the Quraan and the Sunnah except through the Arabic language."

Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen (ra) said,

"..It is upon them to learn the language of the Qur.aan, because if understanding the Book of Allaah or the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah (sal-Allaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) is dependant upon learning the Arabic language, then learning Arabic becomes waajib. This is because every action that has to be carried out, in order to be able to perform an obligation, acquires the ruling of being obligatory [or - All actions which if not performed first, an obligatory act cannot be performed, acquire the ruling of being obligatory (even if they are not an obligation within themselves, such as walking to the masjid for Salaatul Jamaa’ah (for men), since one cannot perform jamaa’ah in the masjid unless he walks there, the act of walking in order to get to the masjid becomes waajib upon that individual, and so on...)"

Shaykh ul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (ra) said,

“It is known that Arabic is Fard ‘alal-Kifaayah and the Salaf would discipline their children for making grammatical mistakes. Due to this, we are ordered, whether it be an obligation or a recommendation, to preserve the Arabic (grammatical) rules, and to correct the tongues that have deviated from the correct speech. By doing so, we preserve the methodology of understanding the Qur.aan and the Sunnah. We also preserve the following of the Arabs in their manner of (correct) speech. If people were left with their grammatical mistakes, this would be considered a great deficiency and despicable mistake.”

Verily, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qu'ran in order that you may understand.
(Qu'ran- Yusuf:2)

Live Lecture! Shaykh Khalid al Misree: Extremism in the Religion - It's Reasons and Cure From the Sunnah

Bismillaah wa -Alhamdulillaah wa Salaatu wa Salaam 'alaa Rasulillaah 'amma ba'd

Muwahhideen Publications has organized a LIVE tele-lecture on Wednesday 27th February 2013 with Shaykh Khalid Ibn 'AbdurRahmaan al-Misree (May Allaah Preserve Him), from the well-known mashayikh of Egypt. The Shaykh will lecture to us concerning the issue of extremism in the religion.

This lecture event will be translated LIVE into English by our brother Hisham Abouzeid Inshaa Allaah.

Allaah (Ta ‘alaa) says in the Qur’aan,
“O People of the Scripture, do not go to extremes in your religion and do not speak except the truth." [Soorah an-Nisaa: 171]

“Say: O People of the Scripture, do not go to extremes in your religion beyond the truth and do not follow the inclinations of a people who had gone astray before - they misled many and themselves strayed from the correctness of the way.” [Soorah al-Maa’idah:77]
“In both of these verses there is a forbiddance for the “people of the scripture” – the jews and christians – from going to extremes in religion. And every statement in the noble Qur’aan directed towards the people of the scripture also includes this nation (the Muslims) because it is this nation that is the primary recipient and addressee of this book. So when Allaah forbids them from going to extremes, we are even more so forbidden to go to extremes.”

Additionally, it was narrated by ‘Abdullaah Ibn ‘Abbaas (radhiyAllaahu ‘anhu) that the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said,

“Beware of extremism in religion because the only thing that destroyed those before you was extremism in religion.” [An-Nasaa’ee and Ibn Maajah]

Moreover, ‘Abdullaah Ibn Masood ( radhiyAllaahu ‘anhu ) said: Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) repeated three times:

“The Mutanatti’oon are destroyed.” [Muslim]

An-Nawawee (rahimahullaah) explains, “The Mutanatti’oon are the overly-strict people; those who go too deep (into religious matters), the extremists, those who go beyond the permissible limits in their statements and actions.” [“The Forbiddance and Danger of Extremism” by Shaykh ‘Ali Ibn Yahya al-Haddaadi from AbdurRahman.org]

The Noble Shaykh Khalid ‘Abdur Rahmaan al-Misree (hafidhahullaah) will admonish us regarding this grave matter of extremism in the religion and expound on its aspects, reasons and the cure for this disease from the pure Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).

We ask Allaah to make us from those who are balanced; those who neither fall into negligence nor exceed the limits.

New Weekly Class! Shaykh Rashaad al Hubaishi: The Authentic Seerah of The Prophet

Bismillaah wa -Alhamdulillaah wa Salaatu wa Salaam 'alaa Rasulillaah 'amma ba'd

It pleases Muwahhideen Publications to present our brothers and sisters in Islaam with a weekly class which will be taught by our honoured and noble Shaykh Rashaad al-Hubaishi (May Allaah preserve Him) who will bring to us moments of contemplation from the authentic seerah of the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)Shaykh Rashaad is from the mashaayikh of Sana’a, Yemen and is a student of Ash-Shaykh Al-Allaamah Al-Muhaddith, The Imaam ofYemenShaykh Abu ‘Abdur Rahmaan Muqbil Ibn Hadee al-Waadi’ee (rahimahullah). The class commences on Wednesday 27th February 2013 and will continue every Wednesday by the Permission of Allaah.

This weekly class will be translated LIVE into English by our brother Hisham Abouzeid, inshaaAllaah.

“The knowledge of Seerah, May Allaah have mercy on you, is important in the life of every seeker of knowledge and is an integral part of understanding Islaam, because as Muslims, we use the Qur’aan and Sunnah as the frame of reference for understanding everyday practical life. These sources of revelation (the Qur’aan and Sunnah) are clearly seen being practiced by the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and his Companions when we read narrations ofSeerah. That is to say, the study of Seerah is a look at the practical understanding and implementation of these texts – by those who understood them best. Therefore, understanding Seerah provides understanding of the Sunnah (which in turn, gives understanding of the Qur’aan).” [“The Importance of Learning Seerah from www.athaar.org]

Therefore, it is of fundamental importance that we learn the Seerah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) since a person cannot love someone he does not know. So by studying the biography of the Messenger (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), our love for him will increase and by the guidance of Allaah, so will our emulating and obedience of him.

Our Noble Shaykh Rashaad al-Hubaishi (hafidhahullaah) will enlighten us with some precious moments from the authentic Seerah of our Prophet Muhammad (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and by the Permission of Allaah we will all benefit from the jewels of guidance presented in these sittings.

We urge our brothers and sisters to make every effort to attend and benefit from this special opportunity to learn about our Messenger (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) from one of the scholars of Ahlus Sunnah in our time.

Live Lecture! Shaykh Ahmad Shamlaan: Ahl Sunnah's Belief in The Mahdi

Bismillaah wa -Alhamdulillaah wa Salaatu wa Salaam 'alaa Rasulillaah 'amma ba'd

Shaykh Ahmad Ibn Ahmad Shamlaan (May Allaah preserve Him) from the mashaayikh of Yemen has agreed to do a LIVE tele-lecture with Muwahhideen Publication on Monday 24th February 2013 on the topic of Ahlus Sunnah’s belief in the Mahdi. The Shaykh is from the students of Ash-Shaykh Al-Allaamah Al-Muhaddith, The Imaam of YemenShaykh Abu ‘Abdur Rahmaan Muqbil Ibn Hadee al-Waadi’ee (rahimahullah). Currently, Shaykh Ahmad runs Dar Ul Hadeeth in Radaa’Yemen. This event will be broadcast LIVE in Masjid Ibn 'Abbaas, Tobago, two masaajid in Trinidad, Masjid ul Khaleefah and Masjid us Sunnah, and six masaajid < /em>in the U.S. Masjid Al-Bukhaari, Florida, Masjid Ibn 'Abbas, Georgia, Masjid Uthaymeen, New Jersey, Masjid Nur Allaah, New York, Masjid as-Sahabah, Ohio and Masjid Tawheed, Michigan.

This lecture event will be translated LIVE into English by our brother Hisham Abouzeid, Inshaa Allaah.

There exists a lot false beliefs surrounding the Mahdi, particular amongst the raafidhah shi’a who hold many absurd beliefs concerning him.

According to Al-‘Allaamah Ash-Shaykh Rabee’ Ibn Haadee al-Madkhalee (hafidhahullaah) ,
“From their superstitions and stories is that they have a Mahdi from the Prophet’s (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) family whom they await and that he has been in a cave for more than 1200 years who they claim is the 12thImaam. This Imaam does not exist; this Mahdi has not even been created. The Mahdi that the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) mentioned is true, however, he is not the one that the Rawafidh (Shia) claim is the Mahdi. From their stories is that Musa Ibn Jafar (d. 183AH) - who the Rawafidh claim is one of their Imaams – said to a person during his time, ‘If you live then you will meet him.’ Since then, 1249 years have passed and they still have not met him. This is proof that this was a slander and a lie against Musa.” [“A Warning Against the Spread of the Deen of the Rawafidh (Shia)in Algeria and Other Muslim Lands” from AbdurRahman.org]

On the authority of ‘Ali (radhiyAllaahu ‘anhu), the Messenger (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “The Mahdi is from us – the family of the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)Allaah will rectify him in a single night.”[Ahmad]

‘Abdullaah Ibn Mas’ood (radhiyAllaahu ‘anhu) related that the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Even if there remains from this world only a single day…Allaah would prolong that day until a man from me or from my descendants is sent; his name is the same as my name, and his father’s name is the same as my father’s name.” [Abu Dawood] And this is an addition from the hadeeth of Qatr : “He will fill the earth with fairness and justice just as it was filled with wrongdoing and oppression.”

These are but two of the many ahadeeth which discuss the affairs of the Mahdi.

Our Shaykh Ahmad Shamlaan (hafidhahullaah) will convey to us the belief of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah concerning the Mahdi and by the Permission of Allaah expel any false beliefs or doubts one might have regarding this issue.

We ask Allaah to correct our creed and that He, Al-‘Aleem grants us beneficial knowledge that would be a proof for us and not against us on the Day of Judgement.
