Bismillaah wa -Alhamdulillaah wa Salaatu wa Salaam 'alaa Rasulillaah 'amma ba'd
The Noble Shaykh, Abu 'Abdul'Alaa Khalid ‘Uthmaan al-Misree (May Allaah Preserve Him) from the well-known mashayikh of Egypt will deliver a LIVE tele-lecture with Muwahhideen Publications entitled, “The Blessing of Allaah Between Thankfulness and Ungratefulness” on Sunday 6th January, 2012. This event will be broadcast LIVE in Masjid Ibn 'Abbaas, Tobago, two masaajid in Trinidad, Masjid ul Khaleefah and Masjid us Sunnah, and six Masaajidin the U.S. Masjid Al-Bukhaari, Florida, Masjid Ibn 'Abbas, Georgia, Masjid Uthaymeen, New Jersey, Masjid Nur Allaah, New York, Masjid as-Sahabah, Ohio and Masjid Tawheed, Michigan.

“And He gave you of all that you asked for, and if you count the Blessings of Allaah, never will you be able to count them. Verily! Man is indeed an extreme wrong-doer, - a disbeliever (an extreme ingrate, denies Allaah'sBlessings by disbelief, and by worshipping others besides Allaah, and by disobeying Allaah and His Prophet Muhammad sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).” [Soorat Ibraheem 14:34]
In many places of the Qur’aan, Allaah reminds mankind of the tremendous bounties He has bestowed upon them, yet they are unjustly ungrateful to their Lord for the innumerable blessings He has favoured them with.
Ibn Rajab (rahimahullaah) explains,
“One must show gratitude for every blessing that Allaah has bestowed upon him in his religion and in worldly affairs. Once a person is given this tawfeeq (success) to (actually) show gratitude, then it is once more upon him to show gratitude in appreciation for this tawfeeq. This is a continuous cycle of gratitude, and because of this, a servant will never be able to fully show thankfulness (for the blessings granted to him). The reality of gratitude is that an individual confesses to his inability to (completely) show thankfulness. It was said: (Poetry)
If showing thankfulness to Allaah for a blessing bestowed on me is (itself) another blessing, then it is incumbent upon me to show further gratitude. (With this being the case), how can one (truly) show gratefulness except with His (Allaah’s) favour, when days continue and life persists (const antly on going).”

Shaykh Khalid (hafidhahullaah) will admonish us regarding this crucial issue and explain how we should manifest the thankfulness to our Lord that is binding upon us as well as issue a warning against ingratitude.
We ask Allaah to make us grateful slaves and we seek refuge in Him from ever being ungrateful.
