Live Lecture! Shaykh AbdruRaqeeb Al Ulabi: The Grave - It's Torment And Bliss

Bismillaah wa -Alhamdulillaah wa Salaatu wa Salaam 'alaa Rasulillaah 'amma ba'd

The Noble Shaykh ‘Abdur Raqeeb al-Ulabi  (May Allaah Preserve Him) will deliver a LIVE tele-lecture with Muwahhideen Publications on Sunday 3rd March 2013 regarding the punishment and bliss of the grave. Shaykh ‘Abdur Raqeebis a student of Ash-Shaykh Al-Allaamah Al-Muhaddith, The Imaam of Yemen, Shaykh Abu ‘Abdur Rahmaan Muqbil Ibn Hadee al-Waadi’ee (rahimahullah) and is a teacher in Markaz Dar-ul-Hadeeth in Ma’bar, Yemen. This event will be broadcast LIVE in Masjid Ibn 'Abbaas, Tobago, two masaajid in Trinidad, Masjid ul Khaleefah and Masjid us Sunnah, and six Masaajid in the U.S. Masjid Al-Bukhaari, Florida, Masjid Ibn 'Abbas, Georgia, Masjid Uthaymeen, New Jersey, Masjid Nur Allaah, New York, Masjid as-Sahabah, Ohio and Masjid Tawheed, Michigan.

This lecture event will be translated LIVE into English by Hisham Abouzeid,  inshaaAllaah.

It is the firm belief of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa’ah, which has been corroborated by the texts and the ijmaa’ of Ahlul ‘Ilm, that the punishment or bliss in the grave is a sure reality.

Haanee, the freed slave of ‘Uthmaan (radhiyAllaahu ‘anhu) related,
Whenever ‘Uthmaan (radhiyAllaahu ‘anhu) stood at a grave he would weep until his beard became soaked in tears. It was said to him: Paradise and Hell are mentioned to you, and you do not weep, but you weep over this.  So he said: Indeed the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Indeed the grave is the first stopping place for the Hereafter.  So if he is saved therein, then what comes after that is easier than that.  If he is not saved therefrom, then that which comes after is harder.” [Hasan: Related by at-Tirmidhee (no. 2424), and Ibn Maajah (no. 4267), and it has been authenticated by Shaykh al-Albaanee in Takhreejul-Mishkaat (no. 132)]

An-Naasiree (d.652H) - rahimahullaah - said in an-Noorul-Laami’ (no. 110):
‘‘We have eemaan in the Punishment of the Grave and its Bliss…this is the madhhab of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah.  So it is obligatory to have ‘Aqeedah in this.’’
Further evidence for this is found in the well-known hadeeth of Al-Bara’ Ibn ‘Aazib (radhiyAllaahu ‘anhu) where it is stated that it will be said regarding the believing slaves, “…prepare for them a bed in Jannah; clothe them from Jannahand open for them a gate to Jannah. Then there comes to them some of its fragrance and the grave is made wide, as far as they can see.” Conversely, it will be said regarding the disbelievers from mankind, “...prepare for them a bed in Hellfire and open for them a gate to Hellfire. There comes to them some of its heat and hot winds, and the grave is constricted until their ribs are squeezed. [Abu Dawud, Bool on Al-Sunnah,no.4753; and Ahmad, Musnad, vol.4, p.296]

Our Shaykh ‘Abdur Raqeeb al-Ulabi (hafidhahullaah) will admonish us concerning this unequivocal issue based on evidences from the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) upon the understanding of our Pious Predecessors.

We ask Allaah to grant us bliss in our graves and we seek refuge in Him from its punishment.

Live Lecture! Shaykh Ahmad Shamlaan: Ahl Sunnah's Belief in The Mahdi

Bismillaah wa -Alhamdulillaah wa Salaatu wa Salaam 'alaa Rasulillaah 'amma ba'd

Shaykh Ahmad Ibn Ahmad Shamlaan (May Allaah preserve Him) from the mashaayikh of Yemen has agreed to do a LIVE tele-lecture with Muwahhideen Publication on Monday 24th February 2013 on the topic of Ahlus Sunnah’s belief in the Mahdi. The Shaykh is from the students of Ash-Shaykh Al-Allaamah Al-Muhaddith, The Imaam of YemenShaykh Abu ‘Abdur Rahmaan Muqbil Ibn Hadee al-Waadi’ee (rahimahullah). Currently, Shaykh Ahmad runs Dar Ul Hadeeth in Radaa’Yemen. This event will be broadcast LIVE in Masjid Ibn 'Abbaas, Tobago, two masaajid in Trinidad, Masjid ul Khaleefah and Masjid us Sunnah, and six masaajid < /em>in the U.S. Masjid Al-Bukhaari, Florida, Masjid Ibn 'Abbas, Georgia, Masjid Uthaymeen, New Jersey, Masjid Nur Allaah, New York, Masjid as-Sahabah, Ohio and Masjid Tawheed, Michigan.

This lecture event will be translated LIVE into English by our brother Hisham Abouzeid, Inshaa Allaah.

There exists a lot false beliefs surrounding the Mahdi, particular amongst the raafidhah shi’a who hold many absurd beliefs concerning him.

According to Al-‘Allaamah Ash-Shaykh Rabee’ Ibn Haadee al-Madkhalee (hafidhahullaah) ,
“From their superstitions and stories is that they have a Mahdi from the Prophet’s (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) family whom they await and that he has been in a cave for more than 1200 years who they claim is the 12thImaam. This Imaam does not exist; this Mahdi has not even been created. The Mahdi that the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) mentioned is true, however, he is not the one that the Rawafidh (Shia) claim is the Mahdi. From their stories is that Musa Ibn Jafar (d. 183AH) - who the Rawafidh claim is one of their Imaams – said to a person during his time, ‘If you live then you will meet him.’ Since then, 1249 years have passed and they still have not met him. This is proof that this was a slander and a lie against Musa.” [“A Warning Against the Spread of the Deen of the Rawafidh (Shia)in Algeria and Other Muslim Lands” from AbdurRahman.org]

On the authority of ‘Ali (radhiyAllaahu ‘anhu), the Messenger (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “The Mahdi is from us – the family of the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)Allaah will rectify him in a single night.”[Ahmad]

‘Abdullaah Ibn Mas’ood (radhiyAllaahu ‘anhu) related that the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Even if there remains from this world only a single day…Allaah would prolong that day until a man from me or from my descendants is sent; his name is the same as my name, and his father’s name is the same as my father’s name.” [Abu Dawood] And this is an addition from the hadeeth of Qatr : “He will fill the earth with fairness and justice just as it was filled with wrongdoing and oppression.”

These are but two of the many ahadeeth which discuss the affairs of the Mahdi.

Our Shaykh Ahmad Shamlaan (hafidhahullaah) will convey to us the belief of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah concerning the Mahdi and by the Permission of Allaah expel any false beliefs or doubts one might have regarding this issue.

We ask Allaah to correct our creed and that He, Al-‘Aleem grants us beneficial knowledge that would be a proof for us and not against us on the Day of Judgement.

Live Lecture! Shaykh Hasan Al Alaywah: The Belief In The Divine Decree & Predestination

Bismillaah wa -Alhamdulillaah wa Salaatu wa Salaam 'alaa Rasulillaah 'amma ba'd

On Wednesday 30thDecember, 2013, Muwahhideen Publications will host a LIVE tele-link lecture with Shaykh Hasan ibn 'Ali ‘Alaywah(May Allaah Preserve Him). The Shaykh is a student of Ash-Shaykh Muqbil al-Wadi'ee and is a teacher at Dar-ul-Hadeeth, Shihr, Yemen.

This lecture event will be translated LIVE into English by Hisham Abouzeid, Inshaa Allaah.

The belief in al-Qadr is obligatory as Allaah stated in several verses of the Glorious Qur'aan:
"Verily, We have created all things with Qadr." [Soorah Al-Qamar: 49]

Al-Qadr is sometimes mentioned with al-Qadaa’ in the same statement; if so then each has a distinct meaning. However, when they are mentioned separately, then either one comprises the other. So when they are stated together, then al-Qadr means that which Allaah has eternally pre-ordained (in due measure) pertaining to His creation. On the other hand, al-Qadaa' means that which Allaah has decreed for His creation from existence, annihilation, or change. In this sense, al-Qadr precedes al-Qadaa' when combined in the same sentence.”[‘Al-Qadaa wal Qadar in Brief’ from Abdurrahman.org]

As is the case with many aspects of ‘Aqeedah, there are sects that have deviated with respect to their belief in the Decree. From them are the Qadariyyah who go to extremes in affirming the actions of the servants, and they say that the servants are the ones who have originated the actions without them being pre-decreed upon them by Allaah. Then there is the Jabariyyah who go to extremes in affirming the Qadr and the Will (mashee'ah) and they deny the actions of the servants. And they say, 'The servant is compelled, he has no free will in his actions. And he is only moved like a feather is moved by the wind, or he is like the dead body in the hands of the washer who turns him, he has no free will.'

Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa'ah have taken a middle course between these two extremes, as is their habit in all affairs of the Religion. So they have affirmed that the servant has an action, a will and a choice. However, he does not exit with that from the Intention and Will of Allaah.[‘Belief of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa'ah Regarding al Qadr’ from salafitalk.com]

Shaykh Hasan al-‘Alaywah (hafidhahullaah) will enlighten us on the correct belief concerning al-Qadaa wal Qadr according to the Qur’aanand Sunnah with the understanding of our Salaf-us-Saalih and by the Permission of Allaah remove any confusion we might have concerning this matter.
We ask Allaah to grant us beneficial knowledge and make us from those who are balanced; those who neither fall into negligence nor exceed the limits.

Bismillaah wa -Alhamdulillaah wa Salaatu wa Salaam 'alaa Rasulillaah 'amma ba'd

Muwahhideen Publications has organized a LIVE Tele-Lecture with Shaykh Bakry ibn Muhammad al-Yaafa'ee (May Allaah Preserve Him), one of the mashaayikh from Dar-ul-Hadeeth, Ma'bar, Yemen and student of Shaykh Muhammad al-Imaam (hafidhahullaah). He is a teacher of 'Aqeedah at the markaz, and he is sometimes left in charge of the markaz when Shaykh Muhammad travels. The Shaykh will highlight for us the characteristics of the dawah of the people of the Sunnah versus the people of bid'ah and hizbiyyah. This event will be broadcast LIVE in Masjid Ibn 'Abbaas, Tobago, two masaajid in Trinidad, Masjid ul Khaleefah and Masjid us Sunnah, and six Masaajid in the U.S. Masjid Al-Bukhaari, Florida, Masjid Ibn 'Abbas , Georgia, Masjid Uthaymeen, New Jersey, Masjid Nur Allaah, New York, Masjid as-Sahabah, Ohio and Masjid Tawheed, Michigan.

This lecture event will be translated LIVE into English by Hisham Abouzeid, inshaaAllaah.

Many groups present today, from the seventy-two misguided sects warned against by the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam), masquerade as Ahl Sunnah and divide the Salafis with principles that compromise the very core methodology of this blessedda'wah. Many from the people of the sunnah have gone astray due to fanatical attachment to personalities, and due to this disease have disguised the faults of the ones they blind follow in order to validate their falsehood. These misguided personalities have introduced principles into the religion that are not only alien to it but have caused many of the muslimeen to lose their deen (religion). These principles have within them political and personal agendas based on desires and love of fame and this worldly life, amongst many other deficiencies.Shaykh Bakry al-Yaafa'ee will endeavour to distinguish some of t he traits of the pristine da'wah of the people of the sunnah of MuhammadsallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam)
We ask Allaah to make us align ourselves to the truth and the people of truth and rid us of the sickness of blind following anyone, and to make us avid followers.

Live Lecture! Shaykh Nu'man al Watr: We Have Made You a Balanced Nation

Bismillaah wa -Alhamdulillaah wa Salaatu wa Salaam 'alaa Rasulillaah 'amma ba'd

The Noble Shaykh Nu'maan al-Watr (May Allaah Preserve Him), from the mashaayikh of HodaidahYemen will deliver a LIVE Tele-Lecture, organized by Muwahhideen Publications on Wednesday 23rd January, 2013. The Shaykh will address us regarding the middle path of the sunnah.

This lecture event will be translated LIVE into English Inshaa Allaah.

Allaah Subhana Wa Ta'alaa says:
Thus We have made you a Wasat nation, that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger (Muhammad) (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) be a witness over you. [Baqarah: 143]

Allaah Ta'alaa said:
He has chosen you, and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship: it is the religion of your father Ibraheem. It is He (Allaah) Who has named you Muslims both before and in this (the Qur'aan), that the Messenger (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) may be a witness over you and you be witnesses over mankind! (22:78)

Imaam Ahmad reported that Abu Sa`id narrated: Allaah's Messenger (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
Nuh will be called on the Day of Resurrection and will be asked, `Have you conveyed (the Message)' He will say, `Yes.' His people will be summoned and asked, `Has Nuh conveyed (the Message) to you' They will say, `No warner came to us and no one (Prophet) was sent to us.' Nuh will be asked, `Who testifies for you' He will say, `Muhammad (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and his Ummah.'

This is why Allaah said:

(Thus We have made you a Wasat nation.)

The Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said; (The Wasat means the `Adl (just). You will be summoned to testify that Nuh has conveyed (his Message), and I will attest to your testimony.)

It is recorded in the two saheehs that Aa'ishah (radhiyAllaahuanhaa) said that some of the Companions asked the wives of the Prophet(sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) about the acts of worship that he performed in private. One of them said, "I will not eat meat,'' another said, "I will not marry women,'' while the third said, "I will not sleep on the bed.'' When the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) heard this statement, he said,
“What is the matter with some people who said such and such I fast and break the fast, sleep and wake to stand to pray, eat meat, and marry women. He who is not pleased with my sunnah is not of me.”
'Abdullaah Ibn Mas'ood (radhiyAllaahuanhu) said,

“Follow and do not innovate, for indeed you have been sufficed.” [Reported authentically in Ad-Daarimee (no.211) At-Tabaraanee in Al-Kabeer (no. 8870), Al Bayhaqee (no. 204), Ibn Wadaah in Bid'ah Wan Nahee 'Anhaa (p. 10), and also from Qataadah on (p.11). Also related by Abee Khaythamah in Al Ilm (no. 54). Shaykh Al Albaanee has authenticated the narration in Bid'ah Wan Nahee 'Anhaa]

The sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) is the middle path, between negligence and extremism. It is upon us to follow his perfect example without introducing that which he never authorized.
Our Shaykh Nu'maan al-Watr (hafidhahullaah) will clarify exactly what it means to be upon the middle course and by the Permission ofAllaah cause us to understand the obligation of following that which our Noble Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) came with.

We ask Allaah to make us from those who are balanced; those who neither fall into negligence nor exceed the limits.

Live Lecture! Shaykh Abdullah al Hadaad: The Basin of The Prophet & The Seeing of Allah

Bismillaah wa -Alhamdulillaah wa Salaatu wa Salaam 'alaa Rasulillaah 'amma ba'd

The Noble Shaykh ‘Abdullaah Ibn Naajee al-Hadaad (May Allaah Preserve Him) from the mashaayikh of Dhimaar, Yemen will deliver a LIVE tele-lecture with Muwahhideen Publications on Tuesday 22nd January, 2013. Shaykh ‘Abdullaah al-Hadaad  is a student of Ash-Shaykh Al-Allaamah Al-Muhaddith, The Imaam of Yemen, Shaykh Abu ‘Abdur Rahmaan Muqbil Ibn Hadee al-Waadi’ee (rahimahullaah) and is currently the Imaam of Masjid Siddeeq inDhimaar, Yemen. This event will be broadcast LIVE in Masjid Ibn 'Abbaas, Tobago, two masaajid in Trinidad, Masjid ul Khaleefah and Masjid us Sunnah, and six Masaajid in the U.S. Masjid Al-Bukhaari, Florida, Masjid Ibn 'Abbas, Georgia, Masjid Uthaymeen, N ew Jersey, Masjid Nur Allaah, New York, Masjid as-Sahabah, Ohio and Masjid Tawheed, Michigan.

This lecture event will be translated LIVE into English by Hisham Abouzeid, inshaaAllaah.

Concerning the matters of the Day of Judgement and the Hereafter are that of the Hawdh (basin) of the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and the Ru’yaa (seeing of Allaah). It is the firm, unshakeable belief of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa’ah that both are a sure reality and belief in these matters are obligatory.

There are those who deny the existence of the Hawdh of the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) which has been described as having water that is whiter than milk, a fragrance that is more pleasant than musk and those who drink from it will never be thirsty again. However, this great bounty is reserved for those who clung tenaciously to what our Messenger (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) was upon.

It was authentically reported that the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) stated:

“Certain people will be driven away from my Hawdh (the Prophet's Basin in the Hereafter) on the Day of Judgment and I will say: "O my Lord, my Ummah my Ummah (another version reads: and I will say: My Companions, my Companions). It will be said (to me): "You do not know what they did after you (died). They continued deviating from the right path since you left them." [Related by Al-Bukhaari, Book on Prophets, Chpater on Allaah’s Saying: “And Allaah did take Ibraheem as a Khaleel”, no. 3349]
Another affair that is tremendous is that of seeing our Lord.
Allaah says in His Noble Book,

“Some faces that Day shall be Naadirah (shining and radiant). Looking at their Lord (Allaah).” [Al-Qiyaamah: 22-23]

The believers seeing Allaah in the abode of the Hereafter has been confirmed in the authentic ahadeeth from numerous routes of transmission with the scholars of hadeeth. It is not possible to deny this or refuse it. Examples would be the ahadeeth of Abu Sa`eed and Abu Hurayrah, and they are both recorded in the two saheehs. They both mentioned that some people said,

"O Messenger of Allaah! Will we see our Lord on the Day of Judgement'' The Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Are you harmed by seeing the sun and the moon when there are no clouds beneath them?” They replied, "No.'' The Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) then said, “Then you will surely see your Lord like that.” [Taken from Tafseer Ibn Katheer]

Thus it is explicitly evident that there exists a tangible basin/pond of the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) which the believers will drink from and that Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala) will in fact be seen by the believers as well, despite the denial of this by some of the deviant sects.
The Noble Shaykh ‘Abdullaah al-Hadaad (hafidhahullaah) will enlighten us regarding the belief of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa’ah on the topic and by the permission of Allaah expel the falsehood of those who believe otherwise.
We ask Allaah to make us from those who drink from the Hawdh and that He, Ar-Raheem allows us to be from amongst those who gaze upon His Glorious Face.

Live Lecture! Shaykh Muhammad al-Imaam: Explanation of a Hadeeth

Bismillaah wa -Alhamdulillaah wa Salaatu wa Salaam 'alaa Rasulillaah 'amma ba'd

Muwahhideen Publications is pleased to announce a LIVE Tele-lecture with the Noble Shaykh Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdullaah al-Imaam (May Allaah Preserve him) who will lecture to us concerning honouring the elderly Muslim, the memorizer of the Qur’aan and the Just Ruler on Thursday 17th January, 2013. The Shaykh supervises Markaz Dar-ul-Hadeeth in Ma'barYemeand is one of the major scholars of our time, May Allaah preserve him. This lecture event will be broadcast LIVE in three Masaajid in Trinidad & Tobago and sixMasaajid in the U.S. In Trinidad & Tobago: Masjid Ibn 'Abbaas, Tobago, Masjid ul Khaleefah and Masjid us Sunnah, and in the US:  Masjid Al-Bukhaari, Florida, Masjid Ibn 'Abbas, Georgia, Masjid Uthaymeen, New Jersey, and Masjid NurAllaah, New York, Masjid as-Sahabah, Ohio, and Masjid Tawheed, Michigan.

This session will be translated LIVE into English Inshaa’Allaah.

Abu Musaa (radhiyAllaahu ‘anhu) reported:
Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said,
“It is out of reverence to Allaah in respecting an aged Muslim, and the one who commits the Qur’aan to memory and does not exaggerate pronouncing its letters not forgets it after memorizing it, and to respect the just ruler.” [Abu Dawood]

“An aged Muslim here means one who lives a pious life till his old age. The word “Haamil-ul-Qur’aan” translated here as ‘the one who commits the Qur’aan to memory’, who have memorized the complete Qur’aan. That is to say he is not aggressive in putting it into practice and does not take shelter of far-fetched interpretations to justify his own intellectual and religious perversion. This Hadeeth stresses that a pious old man, a Haamil-ul-Qur'aan and a just head of a Muslim government should be respected. Since their respect has been ordained byAllaah, respecting them is in fact revering Allaah.” [Taken from the commentary of the hadeeth in Riyaadh-us-Saaliheen]

Our Noble Shaykh, Muhammad al-Imaam (hafidhahullaah) will expound on this beautiful hadeeth and unlock some of the benefits contained in it; and by the Permission of Allaah we will comprehend the matter and strive to act upon what we learn by honouring those who deserve it.
We ask AllaahAl-Haqq to guide us to the truth and make us from those who are sincere and humble.
